Gernot Ritzau was born in Germany and started working on farms at age 12. By age 15 he started an apprenticeship as an electrician and completed the program at age 19 as a journeyman. Shortly after, he emigrated to the United States of America and started work as an electrician for union companies in the metro D.C. area. Starting out as a helper, while learning English, but not long thereafter attaining the level of journeyman and service truck driver, all the while working toward his master electrician license.
As soon as the master was acquired he started his own business in 2005 and oversaw his own projects on new construction, commercial tenant fit outs and power back up for residential and commercial properties.
Nearly 20 years of experience has shaped Gernot’s comprehensive approach based on a strong foundation of technical schooling, theoretical academic classes, up to date code study, and continuing education for licensing.
